Longview Power's leadership team is comprised of the some of the industry's leading professionals and experts in the field. The expanding Longview Power team will be led and supported by the following seasoned veterans of the power generation industry:

Jeff Keffer
Chief Executive Officer

Jeff has more than 25 years of experience in the power generation industry, with specific emphasis in the development, management, and financing of various solid fuel and alternative power projects. He oversees the strategic management and business operations of Longview Power. Prior to joining Longview, he was a partner at Brown Rudnick LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeff graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.

Mark Joensen
Chief Financial Officer

Mark has more than 15 years of financial management experience in the power generation industry, with specific emphasis in strategic planning, market modeling and analysis, and reporting. He oversees all financial activity at Longview Power. Prior to joining Longview, he held positions at Allegheny Power, most recently as the divisional chief financial officer for the company’s regulated operations segment, and Consad Research Corporation, as vice president of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based public policy research and consulting firm. Mark graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and earned a doctorate in Theoretical High Energy Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Charlie Huguenard
Senior Vice President & General Manager

Charlie has more than 30 years of experience in the power generation industry and a background in plant asset management, operations and maintenance, environmental permitting, and labor agreements. He is responsible for developing the Longview Power operations team. Prior to joining Longview, he held managerial positions at Southern Company and Southern Energy/Mirant. Charlie graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Elliot Neri
Director of Operations

Elliot has more than 35 years of experience in power plant operations and management, mining, engineering, and oil refining. He is responsible for staffing, personnel training, and coordinating start-up and commissioning activities as Longview Power transitions from construction to commercial operations. Prior to joining Longview, he held positions with NRG Energy, Mirant, Southern Energy, and Exxon. Elliot graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Washington University.

Phil Schaeffer
Engineering Manager

Phil has more than 11 years of power plant engineering, construction, and contract and project management experience. He is responsible for engineering, chemistry, safety, and environmental oversight at Longview Power. In addition, Phil manages the facility’s water supplier, the Dunkard Creek Water Treatment Plant. Prior to joining Longview, he held positions with RRI Energy, Dominion Generation, and Kiewit Power. Phil graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Joe Douglass
Environmental Manager

Joe has more than 25 years of experience in environmental management, including manufacturing operations and industrial consulting. He is responsible for developing and implementing plant environmental programs as well as permit and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Longview Power, he held a senior level position with North American Energy Services and served as a regulator for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Joe graduated from Ramapo College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.

Shawn O'Connor
Operations Manager

Shawn has 15 years of experience in power plant operations management and engineering. He is responsible for operations protocol and procedures, including personnel training, as well as developing Longview Power’s commissioning and operations team. Prior to joining Longview, he held positions with Kansas City Power & Light, Corning Incorporated, and the United States Army. Shawn graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Rockhurst University.

Chad Hufnagel
Maintenance Manager

Chad has 10 years of experience in power plant maintenance, operations, and engineering, and outage planning and management. He is responsible for plant maintenance procedures and programs, personnel training and growth, and developing Longview Power’s commissioning and maintenance team. Prior to joining Longview, he held positions with Reliant Energy. Chad graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Kutztown University.
