GenPower is a committed industry and community partner working toward a greener, healthier, and safer worldwide energy supply. We pursue this goal with a philosophy of teamwork, collaboration, expertise, integrity, and dedication.

Our commitment is founded on extensive industry experience, across a wide range of energy projects, fuels, and strategies, executed by veteran leaders with a successful track record of development.

Just a few of the projects that represent our experience include:

  • Natural gas-fired facilities generating 4,400 MW
  • Coal-fired facilities generating 1,500 MW
  • 210 MW biomass energy plant
  • 80 MW hydro project

GenPower's staff of over 75 professionals and its highly regarded management team represent a uniquely diverse and comprehensive array of expertise in energy development, project financing, engineering and technology development, commercial execution, power market trading, facility construction, ownership, and operation. Our in-depth knowledge of energy fuels covers natural gas, clean coal, wind, hydro, biomass, and nuclear power. We continuously seek opportunities to develop viable, efficient, environmentally sustainable facilities that promote—and deliver—cost-effective energy supply.

GenPower uses state-of-the-art technologies to ensure outstanding environmental performance. Our supercritical coal-fired Longview Power project surpasses Best Available Control Technology ("BACT") standards to achieve lower air emissions per MWh generated. Longview will utilize these technologies to meet the most rigorous air permit emission limits issued by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection to date for a pulverized coal-fired power plant.

Our company-wide commitment to the environment is also evident through our work at AMD Reclamation, Inc., or AMDRI. AMDRI is a not-for-profit company with a mission to clean up acid mine drainage sites, protecting important natural resources and improving water quality in coal mining regions. In the process, AMDRI creates jobs and revitalizes the benefits and contributions of viable coal mining activities. AMDRI was awarded an EPA Project of the Year award in 2006 for its achievements in Pennsylvania.

Our environmental commitment is just part of the human, financial, and intellectual capital that GenPower focuses on the clean power and renewable energy industries. This capital, inspired and managed by our Senior Leadership Team, will be continually invested, and re-invested, in responsible and sustainable new energy initiatives.
