Chief Executive Officer
Bob has over 25 years of experience in the private power industry, including the successful development and financing of over $5 billion of independent power projects. He formed his own firm in 1987 and established a joint venture with First Reserve Corporation in 2006. Before establishing his own firm, Bob had considerable experience financing a variety of domestic and international energy projects with several commercial banks. Bob has a BA in international relations from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Business School.
Jeff Keffer

and Chief Legal Officer
Jeff has over 25 years of experience in project development and project finance of various types of solid fuel and alternative power projects. Prior to joining GenPower, he was a partner at Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP in Boston, MA, where in addition to project finance, his practice included mergers and acquisitions. Jeff has a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Boston College Law School.
Jim Elitzak

Jim is a senior financial executive with over 25 years of operations-focused finance and leadership experience in environmental and regulated businesses, including waste management, construction, transportation and power plants. Jim has expertise in acquisition integration & due diligence, capital projects and risk management. Before joining GenPower, Jim led a successful turnaround as CFO of a publicly traded environmental company and gained experience with multi-nationals including Waste Management and Wheelabrator Technologies. Jim began his career with Deloitte & Touche and has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
Mike Witzing
Senior Vice President,
Construction & Engineering
Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the power generation industry, with expertise in project and construction management, plant engineering, environmental permitting, and project development. Mike joins GenPower after having served as the Executive Vice President of Engineering and Construction for LS Power Development, where he contributed to the development, permitting, construction, and operation of large gas-fired combined cycle plants and subcritical and supercritical coal-fired plants. Previously, Mike held various engineering and operations positions with Sithe/Independence Power Partners and Consolidated Edison Company of New York. Mike graduated from The Cooper Union School of Engineering with Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
Charlie Huguenard

Longview Power
Charlie has over 25 years of extensive technical, managerial, and business experience in the power generation industry. In his current role Charlie is responsible for developing the operations teams for both GenPower and the Longview project. He has direct experience in plant asset management, operation and maintenance contracts, environmental permits, and labor agreements. Prior to joining GenPower he held positions at Southern Company and Southern Energy/Mirant. He graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Guillermo Espiga

Guillermo has more than 20 years of domestic and international project infrastructure experience, including 15 years of financing and M&A expertise. He has led the development and financing of projects in both established power generation companies and startups. Prior to joining GenPower, he successfully led the finance, development, and asset management of multiple large-infrastructure energy projects throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, to date securing more than $2 billion in non-recourse financing and M&A activity exceeding $200 million. Guillermo has a BA in civil engineering and an MBA from Boston College.
Mark Cardano

Marketing and Origination
Mark has 18 years of experience in the power industry working with municipal, rural cooperative, investor owned utility, developer/IPP, oil & gas, and power marketing sectors in many of the major markets throughout the US. He has directly negotiated and closed over $2 billion power related structured transactions including tolling, power purchase agreements, and load serve. Before joining GenPower Mark has held positions with GE Power Systems, Tenaska, Inc. and Williams Power Company. Mark holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
